This week, Bandon GAA grounds was the site of a powerful road safety demonstration as An Garda Síochána, the National Ambulance Service, and Cork County Fire Service carried out a simulated two-vehicle collision caused by a drug-impaired driver.
Our TY students, along with students from St. Brogan’s College, Hamilton High School, Bandon Grammar School, and Youthreach Bandon attended, witnessing firsthand the serious consequences of such incidents and subsequent interaction with emergency responders.
A huge thank you to everyone who made this event possible, including our dedicated emergency personnel, volunteers, and supporters
A special thanks to An Garda Síochána & Bandon Community Garda Frances Murphy for organising this important initiative!
We hope this experience left a lasting impression on our future drivers – Stay safe, think before you drive, and make responsible choices.
