Congratulation to the Transition Year Psychslam Team who participated in the competition on Friday 28th February. The competition was run by the UCC School of Applied Psychology. Students were asked to research and present on various topics. Our team’s topic was “How does choral singing affect mental health”. 24 Teams took part and Coláiste na Toirbhirte’s team was chosen as one of 2 teams out of their heat, to present in the final. They then presented a second time, following which, they were announced overall winners of the competition and were also presented with an ‘audience choice’ award. The team consisted of Fiona O’Dell, Katie O’ Regan, Deirdre Browne, Clodagh Walsh, Niamh Lucey and Tara Fitzgerald. Well done girls!
