Claire O’Dowd, a past pupil and current UCC first year History and Politics student describes her involvement in European Youth Parliament and her efforts towards making the European Youth Parliament Ireland more inclusive and accessible featured in a recent Sunday Independent article. Claire attributes her involvement in the Youth Parliament to the opportunity given to her in Fourth Year at Coláiste na Toirbhirte to participate in a three day Parliament event which involved public speaking and debating.
