Congratulations to our Psychslam Team who not only reached the final of the Psychslam comeptition in UCC, but also won the Audience Choice Award on the day. The Psychslam competition is run by the Psychology Department in UCC. The competition requires teams to present in a specific format on a wide range of topics. Our students’ topic was, ‘Why do we enjoy scary stories’. The team presented their research in a novel way, using a podcast format, highlighting the different reasons why some people are drawn to scary stories or movies and others are not. The research focused on academic readings and surveys conducted on students in the school. Well done to the students for all their hard work.
