On Monday last, our Newspaper Club paid a visit to The Southern Star offices in Skibbereen and had a very interesting and informative day learning all about the inner working of the Southern Star Newspaper. Our students learned all about the editing and composition of the newspaper, how print media is adapting to the online world and spoke to several members of staff all about their various roles as journalists & editors etc. Many thanks to Sean Mahon & Sally Collins for accommodating us and being so generous with their time.
