Best of luck to our Senior Camogie team, who take on Loreto, Fermoy in the Munster semi-final tomorrow.The team has provided us with much excitement in their campaign to date but it wasn’t to be for them last week, as they lost to Kinsale by a single puck of the ball in the County Final.
It was an enthralling game that had everything; skill, pace, fielding, blocking, and a variety of fantastic scores. Despite the tireless effort of our girls, the score finished 4-2 to 1-14 in favour of Kinsale. Although the game didn’t go our way, it was so uplifting to see how our school was represented on the night. From the players giving everything they had, to the students and teachers bringing the noise and passion from the very first minute, as well as friends and family who came out in the freezing cold to cheer on the team. The face paint, the colours, the chanting, it really was such an amazing atmosphere.
And so now we do it all again tomorrow! The match takes place in Bandon at 11.00am, and the team will be looking for as much support as possible. Thank you to the team and coaches for all the excitement to date. Best of luck tomorrow!
