We are delighted to announce that 3 of our Junk Kouture teams have made it through to the Junk Kouture Southern regional finals; “Devil in Disguise”-Gabriele Patasionkaite “Truth Requires Thorns”- Mercedes Lipiec, Caoimhe O’Shea and Kellie-Ann McCarthy and “Under the Sea “-Kylie-Ann Hurley and Ellie Donegan.
Thirty-five costumes from each of the five regions were selected .The date in June for the Regional final is yet to be confirmed .Seven Regional finalist entrees then from each region will go forward to the Grand Final which will be aired on RTE at this stage there will be voting announced .
Congratulations to our teams for making it to the next stage in the competition. The students have worked diligently with their art teachers Lisa Moynihan and Aileen Murphy from the designing process through to experimenting and making their costumes. The competition encourages young designers to use recycled materials to create wearable costumes .
