Caoimhe Birch, a 5th year Music student, is starring in ‘Prom Queen’, a musical which will be held in the INEC in Killarney on the 21st November. Caoimhe, a valued member of our Music Department, has been singing from a very early age, in addition to playing the fiddle and being a keen Irish dancer. She took up modern dance when she was 15, progressing to musical theatre in Transition Year. She has further developed her skills in Coláiste na Toirbhirte while playing Wednesday Addams in our school production of the Addams Family and also in the Performers Academy in Cork City and has even been to London, where she performed with the British Youth Music Theatre. Caoimhe is currently studying music as one of her Leaving Cert subjects and has a very bright future ahead of her.
